Uzi (4)

German Rapper of Polish origin (born in Toruń on August 7th, 1985 ) who founded the label [l=Hirntot Records] together with [a=Blokkmonsta] in 2005. Initially part of [a=Murda Ron]'s [l=Bloodsport Recordz] roster, Uzi started out with a solo album called "Amoklauf" (English: rampage), featuring a degree of violent and gory lyrics which hardly existed in German rap music to this point. When Blokkmonsta started recording similar music in 2005, it were [a=Frauenarzt] and [a=DJ Manny Marc] of [l=Bassboxxx] fame who introduced them to each other, resulting in the creation of [l=Hirntot Records]. "Amoklauf" was reissued shortly afterwards, and until 2007, a myriad of collaboration albums with [a=Blokkmonsta] were released; Uzi was a regular feature guest on most of the label's albums, compilations and EPs. After Blokkmonsta's, [a=Schwartz (3)]' and his convictions in 2009, he only appeared rarely or not at all on the label's releases; 2011 saw his return with a self-released collaboration album and new feature appearances once Hirntot resumed operations when Blokkmonsta was released from detention. In the following years his contributions to Hirntot's releases were still comparatively sparse, save for a collaboration album with fellow label member [a=Perverz] and the eventual release of his second solo album in 2015, almost six years since it was first announced. It was a hint of what some fans had suspected for a while: His departure from the label and music in general. This was confirmed in a brief YouTube video in March 2016, stating some reasons could be heard by listening to his rap parts on HT100, the label's anniversary release celebrating 10 years of independent operation. Since 2020 he has been an integral part of Hirntot again.
