Cesare Negri

Cesare Negri was an Italian dancer and choreographer from Milan who lived circa 1535–1605. He was an active court choreographer for the nobility in Milan and wrote [i]Le Grazie d'Amore[/i], the first text on ballet theory to expound the principle of the "five basic positions".
