Rhian Sheehan

Rhian Sheehan is a New Zealand composer and recording artist. He has released 5 albums and 2 EP’s. His soundtrack work is diverse, having written for a variety of film, television and multimedia projects, as well as the scores for many UK and US produced Planetarium Fulldome shows, including the soundtracks for “We Are Astronomers” (narrated by David Tennant), “We Are Aliens” (narrated by Rupert Grint), We Are Stars (narrated by Andy Serkis), and “Back To The Moon For Good”, narrated by Tim Allen (Toy Story), which is currently screening in over 400 Planetariums worldwide, and was produced by the UK’s National Space Centre, Google XPRIZE, and Robert K. Weiss (producer of the films The Blues Brothers, The Naked Gun). His music has featured in various multimedia installations and exhibits around the world, including London’s Natural History Museum and The Kennedy Space Center. In 2010 he was awarded a Qantas Film & TV Award (Best original music in a TV series) for his work on the 12-part prime-time series The Cult, and he also wrote the score for the Emmy Award winning series Reservoir Hill. His work has featured regularly on BBC Horizon, Top Gear, The National Geographic, Discovery and History channels. Sheehan’s music was used extensively during NBC’s prime-time coverage of the 2012 London Olympics, and has also been heard in a variety of commercials, including spots for Google, Nike, GoPro, The Super Bowl and Facebook.
