Jelena Karleuša

Jelena Karleuša (born 17 August 1978) is a Serbian singer, media personality and activist for human and animal rights. Born and raised in Belgrade, she came to prominence upon the release of her debut album in 1995. Karleuša has collectively released eleven studio albums and has held two major solo concerts: “All About Diva” in the Belgrade Arena (2010) and “Viva La Diva” in Ušće, Belgrade (2013). She also served as a television judge on “Zvezde Granda” between 2015 and 2021. JK has been promoting various causes and ideas like LGBT rights, cosmopolitanism, atheism, veganism, animal rights, social equality, etc. As a public figure she was cited as youths biggest influence next to Novak Djokovic. She is also the most followed show business personality on Instagram in Serbia and has been a recognised fashion icon. In its November 2013 issue, W magazine featured Karleuša in an article about pop stars outside the United States.
