Orchestra Sinfonica Di Torino Della RAI
One of four RAI orchestras formed at the end of the war in Italy. The Turin orchestra originated from the earlier [a=Orchestra Sinfonica Dell'Eiar], established in 1931, and was the most prolific/prestigious. The others were formed later, and were based in Rome ([a=Orchestra Sinfonica Di Roma Della RAI]), Milan ([a=Orchestra Sinfonica Di Milano Della RAI]), and, later, Naples ([a=Orchestra "Alessandro Scarlatti" di Napoli Della RAI]). In 1994, the four orchestras were merged in Turin, under the name of the [a=Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale Della RAI]
